      Johnny and Ava's relationship falls in and out of sync in this episode. When Derrick wants to take Martha to the movies, he makes it into a  double dates with Ava and Johnny. Johnny and Ava reminisce about their first movie date. Ava warmly recalls being  envious over the romantic couples coming out of the theater after seeing "Ghost". After the movie, they both admit that romantic feelings are stirring, but cautiously avoid revealing them to each other.  When the kids find Ava has fallen asleep in Johnny's arms in the family room, both Johnny and Ava scramble to downplay the incident.  Johnny is now considering rekindling his romance with Ava.  Jay tells him to go for it.  Johnny sets up a romantic "Ghost" movie evening for Ava. When he asks her to join him...she politely dismisses him, saying "maybe another time." The evening of high expectation to reconnect with Ava, disappointingly ends in shattered hopes for Johnny.
