It is party time in Summerland and the guest list holds surprises for everyone at the party. As for Johnny, he will get blindsided after inadvertently joining in on an intense discussion Ava is having with their long time friends Tracy and Brian. Brian has just inappropriately kissed Ava and she is not happy. Brian's wife Tracy is not happy either. She becomes resentful and with jealous revenge on her mind, fires back at Ava. In the heat of the moment Tracy reveals a past romantic interlude she shared with Johnny. Johnny is stunned. Ava is devastated. She is hurt and angry to find out that Johnny had cheated on her years ago. Johnny and Ava struggle to sort out what went wrong back then. After Johnny apologizes, he finally reveals his past fears to Ava. Ava and Johnny both come to realize they are not the same people they were back then. All is put in the past and both breathe a sigh of relief when one "friend asks the other friend to dance".
